A cardboard folder boldly marked PREDICTION is displayed upright. The performer states that inside it is a large replica of a playing card. A spectator selects a card from a shuffled deck eg: 10 of Spades. The performer picks up the folder and asks “Is it a black card?”- Is it a spade? He removes the replica card from inside the folder and true enough it displays a BLACK card – solid black all over. When he reverses the card, there’s an image of a gardening spade…so it IS a spade! Third time lucky. The performer names the value of the card –the 10 of Spades. Suddenly the card drops open to double its size…and the audience see a GIANT replica of the TEN OF SPADES.
