Description

This is the story of three blind mice. The performer recites an ‘updated’ rhyme whilst showing three large pictorial cards, plus one card displaying the farmer’s wife. In the story, she runs after the mice because they keep stealing her cheese from her kitchen cupboard. The farmer’s wife card is mixed amongst the mice cards, but the children can never find her. The rhyme goes;

Three blind mice

See how they run, see how they run

The farmer’s wife chases them all over the house

And tied a knot in the tails of each mouse

Three blind mice

Only one card remains. Is it the picture of the farmer’s wife? No! When reversed, it’s a picture of a BIG LUMP OF CHEESE – the mice have got away with it!
